Dr. Sameera Abubakar Abdullahi is the Chairperson, I AM NIGERIA WOMEN ACHIEVERS PROJECT. She is a seasoned Nigerian Entrepreneur, Philanthropist, certified and experienced Educationist and Business Consultant, whose focus includes but not limited to Human/Capacity Development, humanitarianism, youth advocacy, promotion of girl child education, etc. She holds a Bachelor of Education in Education Administration from the prestigious Winneba University Ghana, with a Masters in view. She is Hausa by tribe and hails from Kano State.

She has a penchant for entrepreneurship, education and women and children development. To achieve her desire of touching lives and giving back to society she founded a non-governmental organization called Better life for Women and Children Future Foundation (BLWCFF). Since the inception of her foundation, she has provided succor and support to women and children in some selected states in Nigeria. She has equally partnered with other foundations to provide the needed support for the less privileged in the society. This stride has earned a number of recognitions across the country most especially northern Nigeria.

She is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of MHS Universal Investment Limited; this firm deals in all Agro products and commodities. She is also the founder of Saman Oil and Gas. Dr. Peter Adejoh, Executive Chairman/CEO of Camey & Rock Platform Holdings is a highly driven entrepreneur with a background in information technology, banking, project management and consulting. He has over 18 years combined cognate experience in commercial and investment banking, project management, insurance and finance.

He founded and currently serves as the Executive Chairman/ Chief Executive Officer of Camey & Rock Business Consulting Limited, a diversified Pan-African investment company with focus on investment in financial services, FinTech, financial inclusion and the real sector of the economy; Prime Luxury Address Limited, an exclusive real estate development and investment company; Capitis Thrift & Credit, a diversified, membership driven collective and contributory credit union and finance platform of Nigerian origin for entrepreneurs and professionals in organizing a pool of private funds for personal and entrepreneurial growth and development; Capitis Trust Microfinance Bank Limited, a financial services institution licensed by the Central Bank of Nigeria; Plush Hospitality Limited, owners of Plush Hotels, a luxury focused hotel brand.

Peter also serves as a Director on the Board of Resort Mortgage Bank Plc, one of the leading mortgage banks in Nigeria quoted on the Nigerian Stock Exchange. He is also the co-founder of Marina Admiralty Towers (Hard Rock Hotel) development, Lagos – Nigeria.

Peter holds a B.A. (Hons) in History from Benue State University, Makurdi and Diploma in Computer Science from the University of Lagos. He is a certified Master Project Manager by the ‎American Academy of Project Management, New York, USA.

Peter is an active and unswerving entrepreneur with a firm belief in Africa. His motivation is fueled by his desire to continuously engage opportunities that will create valuable businesses for the advancement and development of Nigeria and the rest of the continent.

Mary Madu Hamman

Mary Madu Hamman is a Wife, mother & a Grandmother. She is currently the ​​CEO of BUNDI MSHELBWALA Nigeria Ltd. A Retired Deputy Director of Nigerian Maritime Administration and safety Agency. Mary Headed Shipping Promotion Unit of Nigeria Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA) ​​Lagos and various units in the Agency.

Halima Ben Umar

Halima Ben Umar, was born at Kankarofi quarters, in Kano Municipal local government area (LGA) of Kano State, Nigeria. She has a BA Mass Communication, A Diploma in Arts and Design and a Certificate in International Health, University of Washington, Seattle, Washington. She is currently completing an MPH at University of Washington, Seattle Washington, USA.

Halima is the Executive Director of Women in Media Communication Initiative (WIM), she has managed and delivered an impressive portfolio of USAID and DFID projects across Nigeria. A qualified media expert, a gender specialist, a trainer and a social advocate, Halima has over 20 years’ experience working with development partners. She works with states to promote accountability and transparency in governance.

• Halima Ben is a highly motivated women activist and Advocacy specialist with a socio-development approach to program management. She has had experience at capacity building training for journalists, health care providers and other different stakeholders, income generating activities, life saving skills for the marginalized girls and women at community, LGA and states levels.
• She has had experience in working and engaging with media to support intervention that targets young girls, women, the poor and marginalized within Northern Nigeria.
• She has experience in working with marginalized, hard to reach/hard-to-convince groups in very complex social economic conditions in Nigeria, especially in Northern Nigeria. She has strong program monitoring skills and is a good team player.

Prof. Ummu A. Jalingo

Professor Ummu Ahmed Jalingo hails from Gombi Local Government Area of Adamawa State Nigeria. She is the first female Professor of Economics from Northern Nigeria. She had her early education in Gombi, Adamawa State and later earned her Bachelor and Masters Degrees in Economics from Bayero University, Kano; and a PhD in Economics from Usman Danfodio University Sokoto. She has attended several courses at Harvard University, USA and International Institute of Management Development, Switzerland. Prof Ummu has been a lecturer in the Economics Department, Bayero University, Kano for over 3 (Three) decades. She has published several books and over 40 articles in reputable local and international journals over the years and attended several conferences and trainings.

An external examiner in 6 (six) Universities in Nigeria, Prof Ummu is the Chairperson Donor Contact Committee of Bayero University, Kano, Chairperson Bayero University, Kano Dress Code Committee, member of Senate, Bayero University, Kano, member of Senate, Federal University Dutse, member, Governing Board of Bayero University Staff Model Primary School, Member Code of Ethics of Bayero University, Kano and member on the Establishment of Centre for Social and Economic Research, Bayero University, Kano.

Prof Ummu Jalingo was once the Head of Economics Department, Bayero University. Kano from 2009 to 2013, Head of Economics and Development Studies Department, Federal University Dutse (2014-2016) and was also the pioneer Director, Centre for Social and Economic Research, Federal University Dutse (2014 to 2017). She was privileged to be endowed with a Professorial Chair in Aviation Economics by Nigerian Aviation Handling Company (NAHCO Aviance Plc.) as part of its efforts to partner with Bayero University, Kano to enhance research capacity and capability in the Aviation Sector in particular, and Transport Economics in general.

Professor Ummu is currently the President of the Nigerian Economic Society (NES); Member, Institute of Management Consultants (MIMC); Member, Nigerian Institute of Management (NIM) and equally, a Member of World Economics Association (WEA). She was once a consultant for the European Union Support to Reforming Institutions (EU-SRIP) and the Department for International Development (DFID). Presently, she is a consultant for Mobilization for Development (M4D) and the World Bank.

In December 2010, she received the MEDA Meritorious Diamond Award for National Development. In 2011, Prof Ummu was awarded the prestigious Adamawa State Woman of Substance Merit Award, The I AM NIGERIA WOMEN ACHIEVERS AWARD 2022, Nigeria Merit Gold Award for Transparency and Accountability, Child’s Dream Award of Excellent Performance and the Legacy of True Leadership Award for immense contributions and achievements to Human Development in Nigeria.

Professor Ummu currently sits on the Board of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), the Nigerian Security Printing and Minting (NSPM) representing the North East zone and serves as a Patron for The I AM NIGERIA WOMEN ACHIEVERS PROJECT.

Engr. Janet Adeyemi

Engr. (Dr.) Janet Adeyemi is one of the most influential women in mining and she founded Women in Mining Nigeria which has grown in membership to 5000 since 2004 with diverse groups of women from ASM to traders, jewelers and career professionals.

She is a recipient of the 100 Inspirational Women in the World mining award by U.K WIM 2018 ,Global Chair for Nigeria on Sustainable Mining (ESG) , Fellow, Nigerian Mining and Geosciences Society, Member of Council of Mining Engineers and Geo scientist, Fellow, Nigeria Society of Engineers ,member of the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria.

She is a seasoned international development professional, water resources and environmental engineer with experience in themes at the nexus of environment, sustainable development, smart innovations, climate change, mining, gender and poverty reduction. Her work experience and speaking engagements span through Africa, America, Europe and Asia.

Her recent job was as a lead consultant on the ESIA of Ondo State multipurpose deep seaport. She served as a legislator in the Federal House of Representatives, Nigeria, and worked in the executive arm as Presidential Aide to President Obasanjo in Nigeria (2004-2007). She served as a member on the board of Infrastructure Concession Regulatory Commission (ICRC), Rufus Giwa Polytechnic,Owo (to date), Vice President of Newday Cement Company(to date) and Vice –President of McCrory Engineering, USA.

She is committed to mentoring women into the extractive sector through strategic development and digital training which she coordinates through Women in Mining Training Institute, WIMTI .She launched the Girls for Mining Club (G4M) chaired by Prof Chinwe Obaje, a former Minister of Education and Prof Fisayo Jejelowo who works in the Space center in NASA,Houston, USA to create an easy pathway for the younger generation to get involved and have visibility at the global level.

Mrs. Adeyemi has a broad base educational background that spans through Geology,Engineering,Law etc. She holds a first degree from University of Ife in Geology,Master’s degree in Engineering from Loughborough University of Technology UK, and a Ph.D. from British Columbus University. She has several professional qualifications in environment,health and safety,etc.She is married to Pastor(Engr.Dr.)Thomas Adeyemi with grown up children.

Adaora Amarachi Pearl Onyechere is a multi talented Broadcast Journalist Extraordinaire, a prominent Social innovation, policy development consultant, a passionate advocate for women’s inclusion in governance and Currently the head of women affairs and gender cluster committee for the African Union Economic and social council for Nigeria. She is also the Host of Talk2Adaora; a citizen’s advocacy program to breach the gap between policy makers and the citizens.

She is one of the top 20 outstanding Youths and most recently chronicled by WAFA World Affirmative Action HONORS. Also chronicled amongst 100 Most Influential African Women in Nigeria and Sub Saharan Africa meritorious recommendation by the United States Congress women board on Advocacy for Gender and human rights.

She is the chairman Agenda35 Advisory council for ELECTHER an organization that focuses on mainstreaming young women in politics and mentorship in politics, head communications WOMANIFESTO a mainstream women intervention and gender advocacy group, co founder SHE-MENTORS a mentorship platform for young women for leadership co-owned by Toun Okunwale founder of women’s radio. Adaora Onyechere has a background in English and broadcasting from London metropolitan university, MA in Creative writing and honors in Theater.

she is the founder WEWE NETWORK AFRICA( we enabling women everywhere; a network that embodies capacity building and visibility for women across sectors using digital media, she’s also the Executive Director Yellow Jerrycan Save A Child Foundatio; a platform that advocates for the rights of women and children, under this she initiated “Breaking Barriers” an initiative to end sexual violence or harassment in IDP Camps and also for Love Sake teaching project at the IDP camps.

She is the Executive director Gender Strategy advancement international focused on research on pro-gender policies that enables mainstreaming women across all sectors.

Adaora Onyechere ran for the Okigwe State Constituency in Imo 2019 election under Action Alliance Party as its first candidate in the 2019 election and first female candidate. She won the hearts of people as the first female to run for state assembly from her constituency Okigwe Local government area.

She later went on to serve as a member of the Imo and was state transition committee after the 2019 elections and went on further to serve as the Senior Special Assistant on information and advocacy after been appointed by the former governor of Imo state His Excellency Rt. Hon Emeka Ihedioha.

She possesses other skills in areas of integrated safety equipment and services which she has availed to the Energy and Gas industry. She is a result-driven, resilient and ace ‘womentrepreneur’ with extensive experience in leadership, business management and strategic planning

Mrs Oyewole is an industry pacesetter and continues to champion professionalism, quality products and topnotch service delivery to clients. She holds a degree in Business Administration and is a certified and experienced Interior Designer. She is an alumnus of SAID Business School, University of Oxford, UK.

She is a very passionate advocate, who is committed to supporting women inclusion not just in business but other spheres of human endeavor. She has been very keen on youth empowerment through innovative concepts and ideas that will be a unique game changer in the nation’s developmental strides.
